To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, JOSEPH LOCKE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Baldwin township, in the countyof Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Panes or Plates of Glass; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same. This invention has relation to designs for plates or panes of glass. The design constituting the subject-matter of my invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, wherein— Figure 1 is a perspective view of a plate or pane of glass made according to my design; Fig. 2, a sectional view of the same. The leading features of my design consist, as shown in the drawings, of a plate A, |
rectangular in outiine, having a flat edge a and a raised central
portion B, which on one side projects above the flat edge a and on
the other side is depressed below the same. The outline of the raised
portion B coincides with the outline of the edge of the plate, and in
cross-section the raised portion B is composed of the two angular surfaces
C and B, the surface C being at a greater angle to the flat surface of the
edge a than the surface D and preferably slightly rounded, as shown. Having described my design, I claim— The design for a pane or plate of glass substantially as shown and described. In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
